The product is peer-to-peer digital cash.

That's it.

What is peer-to-peer (p2p) digital cash? Peer-to-peer means that you can send money to someone without any middleman. Think of pulling $5 out of your wallet and handing it to a friend—like that!

Except with no limits, total privacy, and globally accessible.

Currently, ALL money transmission methods involve a middleman. Imagine you want to hand that $5 to your friend, but a suit named Mr. Bank runs up and insists on handing it over for you. He puts it in his pocket, stares at the floor for 4 days, and hands your friend $4.60. This is an mediated transfer. Intermediaries were important when we needed to ship carts of gold, but with digital cash, sending money is as easy as sending an instant message.

How we Built it

Building true digital cash meant plugging the humans and the money into a thriving decentralized digital cash system (which is DAI on Ethereum—More on that soon.) The decentralized cash system already exists, but it is inaccessible for payments and is high-friction for legacy money.

Humans plug into digital cash via the app, and the money plugs in ****via our gateway partnerships.

Plugging the Humans in: A Simple App

Mosendo is a UX win.

Every other cryptocurrency wallet suffers from usability problems. We understand that people do not want to think about their money, they just want it to be easy to use. We have found a way to give access to the benefits of crypto with the user experience of Venmo (or AliPay or M-Pesa.) We expect top-shelf apps from household names to just work the way we expect them to. Mosendo works the way you would expect it to.

We have analyzed the design of dozens of crypto payment apps and identified the three points where most apps lose users: dealing with addresses, having a small network, and seed phrases.

We spent many late nights working on elegant solutions to these problems:
